Blog 5: Symbolic Convergence Theory

In this blog I am going to go in depth in the Symbolic Convergence Theory, my question in this theory is what if in the group there is a power struggle? I have face this situation before were we all in the group came up with the same mindset and goal but there was a power struggle, Everyone wanted to be a leader and thought that there Idea was better then the other. But i strongly believe in this theory because in my group we all had a common motive, it was to be rich because we all shared the same common emotion of being broke, our fantasy theme of all of us was being in fancy cars and driving in yachts in Miami.
Below is a video of a movie called All about the Benjamin's and in this movie there are to guys who are enemies but they share a common fantasy when they find the diamonds and lottery ticket.

Blog 4: Elaboration Likelihood Model Theory

In this blog I am  going to in depth in Elaboration Like hood Model Theory. This theory is based on the routes of persuasion to persuade someone, for example if you want you friend to skip one class  with you to go eat lunch because you are starving, how would you persuade them to do so? I would go the Peripheral Route, in this route you tell them that "were not going to be gone for a very long time" or bring up a past situation in where the roles was switch and you did something for them that you did not want to do. In that time frame they will have a short time to really think about it and they will respond quickly.
In the video below is an example of the Peripheral Route because Will Smith is very emotional, after spending the night in jail with dirty clothes on  and trying to persuade them on why they should give him the job.
